In 1978 Michelle Smith found it difficult to find quality and reliable kitchen products for home chefs. Back then, such products were generally only available to the hospitality industry but this was a time of change, when Australia’s interest in cuisine was emerging. Michelle saw a need in the market to bridge the gap between the industry and the home – so Kitchen Kapers was born, in the heart of Crows Nest in Sydney. As the hospitality side of our business grew, we expanded our ranges and began importing and wholesaling brands like Royal Dalton from the UK, Bernardaud from France, and Schott Zwiesel from Germany.

We have enormous experience in every facet of the hospitality industry, having seen and adapted to many changes over time. We moved to a large new warehouse in Artarmon where we continue to deliver the best service and a larger choice of reliable products to all our clients.
